Cotswold Art Antiques Chelsea Debuts at Iconic London Venue

This month, the prestigious Cotswold Art & Antiques Dealers’ Association (CADA) makes its London debut with the launch of Cotswold Art Antiques Chelsea. The event brings the finest dealers from the Cotswolds to the historic Chelsea Old Town Hall on King’s Road, a venue that has hosted antique fairs for more than five decades.

“The venue has been host to antiques fairs for over five decades, so it is the perfect place for us to gather some of our members,” said Alex Puddy, Chairman of CADA. “We are bringing the Cotswolds to London and have invited a few specialist guest dealers to join us.”

This image consists of two side-by-side photographs of interior art displays. Left image: An elegant antique room corner featuring an ornate tapestry or wallpaper with floral patterns as a backdrop. The display includes decorative elements such as dark metal lanterns hanging on the left, a small round wooden table, silver vases, and decorative obelisks arranged on a table. The setting has the atmosphere of a historic home or antique shop with rich, dark colors. Right image: A museum or gallery wall painted in deep blue with multiple gold-framed landscape paintings arranged in a salon-style hanging. Two elderly visitors with gray hair, one wearing a beige jacket and the other in a pink top, are standing close together looking at the artwork. The collection appears to feature traditional landscape paintings of countryside scenes, rivers, and mountains in various sizes of ornate gold frames with small identification labels beneath them.

Opening on Thursday, March 20th for four days, the event will feature approximately 40 exhibitors, including both CADA members and carefully selected guest dealers. Visitors can expect an impressive array of fine art and antiques, including:

  • Silver and jewelry
  • Clocks and timepieces
  • Fine period, country, and campaign furniture
  • Oil and watercolor paintings
  • Drawings and illustrations
  • Historic medals
  • Ceramics and glass
  • Tribal works
  • Textiles, tapestries, carpets, and rugs
  • Portrait miniatures and silhouettes
  • Decorative items and objets d’art from various influences and eras

This image shows the interior of an antique shop or vintage decor boutique with several distinct elements. The space features a dark navy blue wall adorned with a gallery-style arrangement of framed artwork and prints, including what appears to be nature and landscape scenes. A decorative sunburst mirror with a gold finish serves as a focal point on the wall. The room contains several pieces of brown wooden furniture including a chest of drawers, small tables, and what looks like nesting tables. There are decorative silver objects displayed, including small animal figurines on one of the dressers and some silver serving pieces. A vase with greenery sits on a round table in the center. On the right side of the image is a prominent display of blue and white porcelain dishware - plates, bowls, and serving pieces arranged on shelves. The collection appears to be in the traditional blue and white willow or delft style. The overall aesthetic suggests a curated collection of antiques and collectibles in a sophisticated, traditional setting.

This image shows two side-by-side photographs of what appears to be an antique gallery or auction house setting. Left image: A group of elderly visitors with gray hair are examining framed artwork closely. They're dressed in dark winter clothing including puffy jackets and scarves, suggesting it might be cold. The visitors are looking at a wall densely hung with gold-framed paintings, primarily featuring landscapes and classical scenes. One person appears to be holding a brochure or catalog. The setting has wooden flooring and the paintings are displayed salon-style with multiple works stacked vertically. Right image: An elegant interior display of antique furniture and decorative arts. The scene includes several tufted brown leather chairs with worn patina, a decorative coffee table with what appears to be a small bronze figurine, and an ornate carved wooden piece that might be a fireplace surround or architectural element. In the background are built-in bookshelves filled with books, and a large white sculptural form (possibly alabaster or marble) sits atop a pedestal. The floor appears to be a patterned marble or tile surface.
